Land Conservation Guardian Training Event

Registration is closed for this event

Join Island Nature Trust for a volunteer orientation evening! We are offering an information session on our land stewardship volunteer program, presented by INT's former Stewardship Coordinator, Julie-Lynn Zahavich.

This session is intended for anyone who is interested in learning more about how to become a Conservation Guardian, along with what's involved in this volunteer role.

Stewardship is largely a self-directed volunteer position and this training event will give you the neccessary  information to get started prior to a potential tenure at one of our Natural Areas. Land Guardians act as a conservation ambassador for the area - monitoring and reporting on the state of wildlife and public use - they are the eyes and ears of the land. Being a Conservation Guardian is a fun and rewarding way to volunteer with INT, and is a valued contribution to our land stewardship efforts.

Everyone is welcome to attend, including existing volunteers.
