Adopt an Eagle

Class who has "Adopted an Eagle" at banding

For many of us, this majestic bird is the symbol of wilderness. As recently as the 1980s, only one pair of eagles was known to nest on the Island.

Now there are 50-60 known nests!

Adopt-an-Eagle  combines public education with habitat protection.

193 eagle chicks have been “adopted” and over $19,000 has been raised for local conservation efforts.

School classes, community groups, businesses or individuals can “adopt” a bald eagle chick for $100.
